چکیده
Injil Yohanes memuat banyak kisah-kisah mujizat Yesus yang memiliki gagasan-gagasan teologis khusus yakni tentang Keilahian Yesus. Salah satu dari rangkaian kisah mukjizat itu adalah berjalan di atas air terdapat dalam 6:16-21. Kisah fantastis ini merupakan kejadian luar nalar dan dapat menimbulkan polemik batiniah saat menimbang-nimbang spektakuler. Namun, menarik untuk diteliti karena mengandung unsur-unsur naratif fantastis. Itulah sebabnya penelitian akan menggunakan metode hermeneutik diusung oleh Tzvetan Todorov menggali makna teks balik Berdasarkan analisis dilakukan, dua perspektif elemen genre beroperasi. Pertama, tingkat karakter-karakter diceritakan sebagai aktor tersebut kedua, pembaca bertugas menalar menikmati tersebut. Dari kedua terlihat ambiguitas dialami para menghayati Di sisi lain, konsep keilahian menciptakan suatu eskalasi iman bagi orang percaya Injil.
